Ayurveda believes in the treatment of not just the affected part, but the individual as a whole, making it the natural way to perfect health and harmony of life.

Ayurvedic Therapy with Kerala Holidays Ayurveda evolved as a system of medicine in India, around 600 BC. The system stressed on the prevention of a disease in addition to treating an ailment. The word itself is derived from two Sanskrit words: Ayu (meaning life) and Veda (meaning knowledge) ‘the knowledge of life’. This tradition of healthcare was followed closely across the entire country, and has been practised ever since. Kerala's balanced climate and natural abundance of forests is the perfect environment  for the herbs and plants necessary for authentic Ayurvedic treatments.

As a holistic treatment, Ayurveda, instead of treating an affected part of the body or a particular disease, goes deep into the root cause of the problem and try to rectify the imbalances, of which a disease or complaint is only an indication. Ayurveda aims to eliminate toxic imbalances from the body in order to regain body resistance and good health. It also teaches us how to lead our life both physically and mentally to attain the best of what life has to offer.
