Koder House, located in Cochin, is a testament to the rich Jewish heritage and culture that once thrived in Cochin. The Koder House was the residence of one of the most illustrious Jewish family in Cochin - the Koders, which has now been restored to its full glory and turned into a three-storeyed heritage boutique hotel. The hotel overlooks the beautiful landscape of Fort Cochin and is just a hop, skip and a jump away from the Fort Cochin beach.

This House had been a host to Presidents, Prime Ministers, Viceroys, Ambassadors and other prominent dignitaries. This dwelling also finds a prominent place on INTACH's list of heritage sites, and a visit to Fort Cochin is considered to be incomplete without a visit to this historic monument.

Menorah, the multi-cuisine restaurant is a glittering tribute to the hotel’s Jewish heritage. It has the rare distinction of being the only restaurant in India to serve Jewish food. The carefully chosen menu, however, goes beyond Jewish delicacies. It is in fact, a melting pot just like Fort Cochin, offering Jewish, Continental, Indian and Authentic Kerala Cuisine. Since the beach with its historic Chinese fishing nets is but a step away, seafood, naturally, is the restaurant’s main draw. Our Kerala and Continental offerings both make use of the bounty of the sea.

The Koder House was reconstructed over an early nineteenth century Portuguese mansion. It is believed to have been structured and gabled in Europe and shipped to Cochin. Its windows are said to be made of glass imported from Belgium.
